All tourism services or products shall target the needs and expectations of potential or existing clients, the market director of the Tourism Ministry, Carmen Orellana, commented when she was assessing the strengths of Cuba as a destination and the development of circuits at 2014 FITCuba.

Cuba’s Tourism Minister, Manuel Marrero, announced on 2014 FITCuba’s Special Evening that Cuba’s 2015 International Tourism Show is going to be held on Cayo Coco, Jardines del Rey and it will focus on sailing.

Taleb Rifai, secretary general of the World Tourism Organization, in an exclusive interview with CND, talked about the opportunities featured by the island nation in terms of the local leisure industry. He said the island has a leading role to play in the Caribbean region.

The launch of a Special Issue of its Excelencias Turísticas magazine is part of the actions to be carried out by Grupo Excelencias within the framework of the International Tourism Show, 2014 FITCuba. The 123rd issue of this magazine counts 144 pages, with a section devoted to the historical, cultural, economic and tourism relation between Cuba and France, with articles penned by outstanding researchers, essayists and journalists.

With growth figures hovering around 5 percent in terms of tourist arrivals so far this year, Cuba is hopeful the year 2014 will render a more diversified number of travelers in a number of different segments, the island nation’s tourism minister Manuel Marrero said in Havana.
