Jamaica’s government is seizing on the country’s growing tourist arrivals to focus rehabilitative efforts on a diverse group of hotels, resort areas and traveler amenities beyond the main resort areas of Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

The 126-room property is the first Hyatt Place hotel in the country. It’s part of a wider regional expansion for the brand that has included destinations like Puerto Rico.

Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts recently announced it will be opening up its 12th property in the Dominican Republic on November 1 with the new Bahia Principe Samana Don Pablo Collection.
