There’s a new hotel coming to the Bahamas. The Island House, a 30-room boutique hotel, is slated to open next month in the tony Lyford Cay enclave of the Bahamian island of New Providence.
Ushering in a new era in lodging in Islamorada, Amara Cay Resort, an upscale, boutique resort reopened to the public and welcomed its first guests following a multi-million dollar renovation. The new resort is managed by Miami-based Trust Hospitality.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced the debut of Four Points by Sheraton Cancun Centro, expanding its portfolio to 94 hotels in Latin America and the Caribbean, with 13 additional hotels in the pipeline set to open by 2017.
All Inclusive Collection has just announced that the first Hard Rock-branded golf club in Mexico, the newly designed Hard Rock Golf Club Riviera Maya, is to open in spring 2015.
The Sanctuary Cap Cana by Alsol all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic is transitioning into an adults-only property. The change will officially begin on Dec. 15, 2015, the property announced. Last year, the resort underwent a renovation across the property.
When completed, Baha Mar will total more than 2,900 rooms in five resorts. The $3.5 billion gaming and luxury resort complex has been under construction in Nassau’s Cable Beach area since groundbreaking on Feb. 21, 2011.
