Meliá Hotels International announced a positive first summer season for its four adults-only hotels. The Meliá de Mar Hotel and Sol Cala Blanca Hotel, both in Majorca; the Sol Ibiza Hotel; and Sol Menorca Hotel have all exceeded expectations with improved occupancy and room rates thanks to the new adults-only hotel experience for guests over 15 years of age.

Hilton Worldwide confirmed this week at the South America Hotel & Tourism Investment Conference hosted by HVS Argentina in Santiago, Chile, that the company’s expansion plans in Latin America are stronger than ever before.

Thompson Hotels announced the addition of Hotel Victor in Miami Beach to its portfolio. Located in Miami’s South Beach, Thompson Hotels will rebrand the historic hotel as the Thompson Ocean Drive through a multimillion-dollar renovation to both guest rooms and public spaces, to be completed in early 2012.
