Breezes Bahamas announced updated booking policies after closing earlier this week due to damage from Hurricane Irene. Travelers scheduled to arrive now through Oct. 31 may revise their booking to any date between Nov. 1 and Dec. 23; guests will also receive a one-category upgrade.

Grand Lucayan, Bahamas and former Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort, has changed more than its name this season. While the name change will roll out across all channels by September 1, the resort is already rolling out some new offerings.

The Reefs hotel is offering a one-week “Back to Bermuda” sale offering 30 percent off all ocean view rooms and suites, including two- and three-bedroom luxury condos, for travel from Sept. 2 to Dec. 21, 2011. The discount applies to daily room rates, which include daily breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner at one of the resort’s three restaurants.

Breezes Grand Negril Resort & Spa is offering a “Fit Bodies Fit Beach Week” from Nov. 6 to 12, featuring workout classes led by fitness industry experts and seminars on nutrition and weight training.

As the dust settles from Hurricane Irene, major resorts are reporting significant damage and Super Club Breezes will be closing its doors for at least two months. The resort has suffered damage and will not be accepting new arrivals until November 1, 2011.

Sonesta Resorts Sint Maarten has partnered with Sunwing to debut new vacations packages on November 6, 2011. Operating year-round, charter flights will fly from Toronto and Montreal to the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten and feature all-inclusive stays at Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino and Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino.
