The West Bay Club, a luxury beachfront resort in the Turks and Caicos Islands, has extended its fifth and seventh night free offer to include Thanksgiving week in the U.S., which also coincides with the seventh annual Turks & Caicos Conch Festival. The free night offer is now available all through November.
InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a 15-year management agreement for a new-build, full-service Holiday Inn in Cartagena, Colombia. The Holiday Inn Cartagena, scheduled to open in June 2011, will be IHG’s seventh property in Colombia, and the 46th Holiday Inn brand property within the company’s Latin America and Caribbean region (38 open and eight under construction).
Just a few months after celebrating 1 million views on its web-based television network, RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange and one of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands, announced that RCI TV is now available in Spanish. RCI TV, which offers entertaining and educational high-definition videos narrated by the “RCI Guy” on www.RCI.com, now features Spanish subtitles and offers more than 60 videos in Spanish, with more being added on an ongoing basis.
Iberostar Hotels & Resorts continues to build its portfolio in the Mediterranean with two new openings and three hotel renovations in the region. In Mallorca, Spain, Iberostar reopened the Royal Cupido and the Club Cala Barca after extensive renovation projects. In Marbella, Spain, Iberostar recently acquired the Marbella Coral Beach, which will undergo a complete remodeling project this winter, with a reopening scheduled for April 2011. In addition to opening the Diar El Andalous in Sousse (Tunisia), Iberostar inaugurated the newly built Royal El Mansour in June 2010 in Mahdia (Tunisia).
The Renaissance Curacao Resort is offering a Power of 10 promotion. For stays beginning Oct. 10, the nightly room rate is $215 for the first night and $10 for the remaining consecutive nights.
Four Points by Sheraton will open 10 new hotels across the globe before the end of the year, with new properties slated for cities in six countries on three continents. With the openings, Four Points will command a presence in 28 countries, up from 24 just this year. The news comes on the heels of Four Points’ announcement of its milestone 150th hotel.
