Previously available only to guests of Verana, the Casa Sin Tiempo boutique hotel, located about 45 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta, opens its doors to the general public on November 1, 2007.

Banyan Tree has signed a management contract for a new Angsana branded resort and spa on the island of Grand Turk in the Turks & Caicos Islands. This resort follows from Banyan Tree’s current development on the island of Barbados and will be the first Angsana Resort and Spa within the Caribbean region.

The Divi Tiara Beach Resort in Cayman Brac ceased resort operations for the general public in September 2006, but continues to operate a boutique collection of 12 newly renovated timeshare suites.

SuperClubs Resorts is strengthening its senior management positions among its hotels in Jamaica, specifically in Runaway Bay and Negril. This restructuring move will streamline operations, creating a more cohesive management network in the region to ensure the overall quality of the SuperClubs product remains consistent. The transition will not affect day-to-day operations at the resorts, or alter the guest experience. SuperClubs has 21 hotels open or under development in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Latin America.

The group Central Romana has just announced the construction of the five star hotel Four Seasons de Casa de Campo Resort, at a cost of 120 million dollars. Central Romana aims to establish the Caribbean region’s best tourism complex and to attract high-end tourists to the country.

The Barcelo Maya Beach Resort, on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, is the latest Barcelo Resort to offer guests the opportunity to enjoy upgraded Club Premium Services and amenities during their stay when they reserve guest suite accommodations.
