Consumers who sign up to receive the Turks and Caicos Reservations monthly newsletter from the Turks and Caicos Reservations service, a locally based reservation service, through Nov. 1, 2010, will be automatically entered in a sweepstakes for a free trip to the Turks and Caicos Islands, including airfare for two, a five-night stay at the West Bay Club resort and a place as a judge in the eighth annual Turks and Caicos Conch Festival.

The new resort development Fairmont Mina Al Fajer will debut in the latter part of 2011 along the coastline of the Gulf of Oman. The project is being developed by UAE-based Mina Al Fajer Real Estate, LLC.

Club Med will open China’s first all-inclusive resort in Heilongjiang in December, according to Xavier Mufraggi, CEO North America of Club Med. The resort, to be located in the Yabuli ski resort region, is the first of five resorts the company will build in China by 2015, Mufraggi said.

On 8th September 2010, the United States started charging visitors from 36 world countries upon entry. The aim is to raise funds to support promotion and improve tourist appeal of the U.S., though sceptics note the fee may have an opposite effect.
