Sandals Resorts International has today applauded the government of Barbados following the announcement of a deal which will result in opening of two resorts in the country.

IHG has announced the groundbreaking on a 20-story, 225-room InterContinental hotel located in the Piantini neighborhood of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Real Hotels & Resorts, a hotel division of Salvadorian-based Grupo Poma, will own the new development.

On May 1, 2013, South Beach Marriott, a boutique beachfront hotel in the much sought after South of Fifth (SoFi) neighborhood of Miami Beach, began a six-month, $9 million redesign. The renovation is intended to introduce a livable yet luxurious, residential feel, with high quality finishes.
