A sensory experience for the mind and body unlike any other in North Florida will be unveiled when The Spa at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club opens its doors to the public on November 1.
The new deluxe Spa will replace the AAA Five-Diamond resort’s current facility with more than three times the space, 22 treatment rooms, a lavish salon, new services and an array of special features. Highlights include:
Eco Inn announced an expansion with new hotel projects in Cusco, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and the opening of the new Eco Inn of Colca hotel, in the Colca Canyon, located on the hill of the valley, allowing a breathtaking view of the valley. The new Eco Inn compound will comprise eleven shacks and a restaurant.
The Eco Inn of Colca is already being marketed among the agencies and tourism operators nationwide and around the world. The first stone of the Eco Inn Cusco shall be placed in the Sol Avenue.
The 400-room Wyndham Bermuda Resort & Spa will close October 31 and reopen in 2009 as the Southampton Beach Resort, according to Alan Worden, managing director of Windwalker Bermuda, an ownership consortium financed by Lehman Brothers.
Wyndham Hotels & Resorts hoisted its management flag at the resort in May 2004 after taking over from Sonesta.
For the second consecutive year, Conrad Hotels walked away with the award to the World’s Leading Luxury Hotel Brand at the World Travel Awards ceremony, which took place in Turks and Caicos in September.
The prestigious trophy was presented to brand representative, Robert Thrailkill, General Manager of the Conrad Miami during the dinner ceremony.
Sol Meliá has opened its first Me by Meliá property, a new brand of “experience-based personality hotels,” in Madrid’s Plaza de Santa Ana. Formerly the Hotel Reina Victoria, the 192-room hotel has been refashioned as the Me Madrid Reina Victoria.
Sol Meliá described the Me Madrid as a “daring, bold hotel concept ... characterized by passion for service, design, international fusion cuisine and world music.”
The 110-room Tamarind Cove Hotel on Barbados’ West Coast reopened October 4, following a two-and-a-half month renovation and upgrade to the property’s guest rooms and public areas.
Additions include a new fitness center, two meetings rooms and complimentary in-room Wi-Fi access.
