Saint Kitts and Nevis Rolls Out New Digital Entry System for Travelers

St. Kitts and Nevis

Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Caribbean nation made up of two islands, has launched a new digital entry system that modernizes the way visitors enter the country. As of May 26, travelers are now required to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before arriving at the destination.

According to an official statement, the implementation of the eTA marks a milestone in the country’s commitment to digital transformation, the strengthening of national security, and the improvement of the tourism experience.

The process to obtain the eTA is simple and takes approximately five minutes. Visitors can complete the application by downloading the St. Kitts and Nevis e-Border mobile app or by visiting the website knatravelform.kn. The authorization can be submitted up to 90 days before travel, and once approved, it will be valid for 90 days or until the traveler's passport expires.

Currently, the government charges a service fee of $8.50 USD for the eTA. However, starting September 1, 2025, this fee will increase to $17. In addition to payment, travelers must provide basic travel information and relevant documentation, and receive approval before boarding their flight to Saint Kitts and Nevis.

As an added benefit, those who use the mobile app to obtain their eTA will be able to access the new Facial Biometric Fast-Track Corridor, available since June 2, which promises to further expedite entry into the country.

With this initiative, Saint Kitts and Nevis reinforces its position as a modern, secure, and tech-forward destination, ready to welcome international visitors with greater efficiency and innovation.
