Nassau’s British Colonial Hilton Launches Makeover

The British Colonial Hilton Nassau has launched a $15 million makeover, expected to be complete by June, covering all 288 guestrooms, public areas and banquet space. All guestrooms, including 47 executive floor rooms and 23 suites, will be transformed.
An additional 3,000 square feet of meeting space will be part of the renovation, dining options will be upgraded, and guests will enjoy a new executive lounge. Standard guestrooms will be outfitted with new bedding accessories, 32-inch high-definition LCD televisions, marble floors, soft furnishings, and new lighting.
All executive floor rooms and suites will also be upgraded with soft furnishings and special amenities such as 37-inch high-definition LCD televisions. In addition, suites will offer Nespresso coffee machines. 120 rooms will be completed by early February, with the remaining rooms to be finished by May.
Executive Floor guests will have exclusive access to a new executive lounge. The lounge has been relocated to the top floor, offering panoramic views over Nassau harbor. The space is 50 percent larger than the previous lounge and features new facilities such as complimentary computer work stations, Wi-Fi Internet access, self-service kitchenette with all day refreshments, and large-screen televisions.
Meeting facilities will also be expanded with the new Windsor Room and Sir Milo Butler Boardroom, providing 3,000 square feet of additional event space. These additions will bring the total meetings space to 17,840 square feet.
Existing meeting rooms will be upgraded to feature Hilton Meetings, the brand’s solution for the small business meeting market. The refurbished rooms will feature a range of improved options including electronic key access, mini-fridge, safety deposit box, automatic ceiling screen, and stationary kit, among others.
